Interest in japanese culture started at age 15; obsession with many things japanese such as manga, anime, cosplay, kimono, the language and culture, traditional arts and fashion has led her parents to acknowledge her as their "japanese daughter"; been to japan twice and would love to go another 10,000 times.
First cosplay was in december 2001; dislikes cosplaying outside of a group; obsessed with making her own costume; fails horrendously at making props; finds competitions troublesome; loves cosplay because she gets to have fun as well as hang out with her friends; sees herself cosplaying as long as there are friends to cosplay with...
Self-professed mini-expert on kimono and other traditional japanese garb; highly interested in making costumes practical and easy to wear on a daily basis; obsessed with historical reproductions and keeping faithful to the right silhouette; anal and stubborn about getting the costume down just right.
Tends to have her character chosen by friends; finds it hard to keep in character during cosplay if the character is too far away from her own personality; would like to take more photos of herself and of friends during cosplay but always end up being so happy and high that she forgets or gives up; thus the immense shortage of photos on this site.
