Queen Esther Blanchett (エステル・ブランシェ)
About the character : The main female character from Trinity Blood (トリニティ・ブラッド), which was first an illustrated novel, and later on turned into both a manga and an anime, Esther Blanchett (エステル・ブランシェ) is at first introduced as a young nun with no parents, and then revealed to be the head of a resistance against the vampire lord in her town. After being betrayed and losing almost everyone she cared for, she joins the Vatican in dealing with other vampires, and is later revealed to be the long-lost grand-daughter of the queen of the only free human city around. After her grandmother dies, Esther then ascends to the throne and becomes Queen Blanchett.
Being rather young, Esther is brash at times, irritating in others, but always meaning well. Although both the anime and the manga portray her as a typical female main character, a little mary jane and often too "shoujo", the original novel portrays her as a realistic character, one that hates the people who killed her kin, one that gets jealous and nervous and makes mistakes, but is essentially a strong and good person who can't help being a female teenager over her head sometimes. Becoming the Queen put certain restrictions on her and her actions available, but she remains strong and tries hard to lead the country and her people in an uncertain time.
